Dr. Lisa Montagne is a writer, artist, college professor and online learning specialist from Southern California. She is also a Swing, Tango, and Blues dancer and DJ. While dancing activities are on hold in 2020-21, she still practices dancing and plays music safely at home. Until social dancing gets rolling again, check out one of her articles about dancing. Montagne has been a college English literature and composition instructor for 25 years. She has taught at University of California Irvine, Irvine Valley College, and Long Beach City College. She is a specialist in online learning, and she has served as the manager of distance education at Fullerton College. Currently, she teaches English and trains faculty in educational technology systems and online learning at Irvine Valley College.
Montagne has a B.A. in English with a drama minor, an M.A. in English literature, a teaching credential in English, and a doctorate in higher education with an emphasis on online learning. She also studied web and graphic design at Golden West College. She was a Carnegie Foundation Research Fellow, and she is an alumni of the Yale Writer’s Workshop. She has developed workshops, done PR, and hosted events for Running Wild Press. She is currently editing a volume of short stories and essays for Running Wild Press.
