About Robot Lover-
It’s like “Wild Robot” for grown-ups!

A sentient alien android, Andi, lands near the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles where he observes the environments and dramas of humanity. On this adventure, Andi begins to wonder, “But what if I become too attached?” As this collection of poetry explores the human family’s love-hate relationships with nature and technology, it poses this intriguing question: Will we become robot lovers?

Lisa Montagne has written a book more than 2,000 years in the making. Ever since humans have been on record pondering intelligence other than their own, the ideas she explores in Robot Lover have been in play. She pours all that history into this collection, which, at the dawn of AI (artificial intelligence), seems as relevant as a book of poetry can be.
–Mike Bonifer, from the foreword of Robot Lover

“Montagne’s Robot Lover is a quirky, intelligent, thought-provoking gift of wit and depth that grants readers a glimpse into the mind of a true artist.”

— Cherice Cameron Author of Gamut Eclectic & Mundane: Life Perspectives

“Lisa Montagne’s poetry is a unique combination of keen observations of humanity and discerning imagery of the robotic present and future world. But who is the robot and who is the human? A beautifully creative and quirky collection.”

—Margaret Elyse Garcia author of Daughterland

“What a delight! Like the best science fiction, Robot Lover reflects (on) contemporary culture, offering a gentle, ironic, even affectionate critique. Instead of the usual robots-are-as-human-as-humans, the poetry instead invites us to consider that we’re already robots ourselves—though judgment is left to the reader.”

—K. Eason, author of The Weep duology and The Thorne Chronicles

“The poems and drawings by Lisa Montagne in her collection Robot Lover takes us through Andi the Android’s life in both robotic and poetic terms. On the surface, this combination appears to be counter intuitive. But Montagne’s imagery, drawings. and computer language mesh perfectly in this insightful, fun, and touching perspective of our lives in the age of Big Data. Lisa’s writing is fresh, succinct, and thoroughly enjoyable. Take a leap into robotic poetics.”

Antoinette Vella Payne Author of
That’s What Happens When You Live on Haight Street

“Robot Lover is beautifully curated and elegantly captures humanity in this moment of technological advancement at war with its (and our own) downfalls.”—Liz Lozada, poet and actress

“Lisa Montagne’s Robot Lover raises thought-provoking questions about love, identity, and connection in an age when artificial intelligence becomes increasingly entangled with daily life. Montagne’s writing is sharp and imaginative, blending futuristic themes with timeless emotions. Robot Lover is a must-read for those intrigued by the evolving dance between humans and machines, offering both deep reflections and an accessible style that leaves a lasting impact.”
